Mrs Pedley’s Class / First, Second and Third Classes have had a very musical term! Over the last few weeks, they have enjoyed three singing workshops with the music teachers from Blackwater Valley Opera Festival (BVOF), in conjunction with our friends in Waterford Music Partnership (WMP).

The children learned the story of the opera; ‘A Modsummer’s Night’s Dream!’,  studied the characters, learned some of the choruses and acted out key scenes. Our work culminated in a trip to Lismore last Thursday 29th May, where we explored the Opera Trail around the magic oak tree, made magic potions, met the backstage crew and actied out key scenes right beside the main stage! A wonderful experience for all involved! Many thanks to  Danny and Elizabeth, our lovely teachers!
