Enrolment at Modeligo National School

We welcome applications from families in our local community and surrounding parishes. All enrolments are processed in accordance with our Admissions Policy.

Admissions Policy

Our Admissions Policy has been developed in accordance with the Department of Education guidelines and with consultation from our Board of Management and Parents' Association.

Key points:

  • Applications are considered in order of receipt, subject to our oversubscription criteria
  • Priority is given to siblings of current pupils and children resident in the parish
  • All decisions are communicated in writing
  • An appeals process is available if an application is unsuccessful

Admissions Notice

Each year, the school publishes an Annual Admissions Notice setting out the number of places available, the application dates, and any changes to the admissions process for the coming school year. The notice is published before the application period opens and should be read alongside the school's Admissions Policy.

  • Parent/Guardian Consent Form

    Use this form to grant or update consent for your child's participation in school programmes and activities. A new submission supersedes any previous consent on file.

  • Update of Child's Details

    Use this form to notify the school of any changes to your child's enrolment record, such as a change of address, medical information, parent or guardian, emergency contacts, or family doctor.

Starting School

If your child is starting Junior Infants, we hold a New Entrants' Information Evening in late spring each year. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet the teachers, see the classrooms and ask any questions you may have.
