Blackwater Valley Opera Festival
The pupils of Modeligo National School thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the BVOF. We were lucky enough to be involved at the initial stages with weekly singing and music sessions in the Senior room as part of the process. Every Monday, 3rd to 5th class were busy preparing for the event under the stewardship of Music Generation staff. On May 27th the pupils paid a visit to Lismore Castle Gardens for a special performance of Julius Caesar. The following day they were involved along with other schools in the official launch of the festiaval. They collaborated with other schools in singing a number of songs and it was a lovely opportunity to showcase their hard work and talent. Well done everyone and thanks to all at Music Generation and the organisers of the festival for such an enjoyable time.
